1. Lunch & Learn Mapua | 3 July 2024
Digital Safety for you and your Workplace - with Melonie Cole, Mindshift
Melonie Cole, a Māpua resident and award-winning entrepreneur runs Mindshift, a boutique cybersecurity training business.
Melonie presented an insightful talk offering practical tips for leading a safer online life that we can practice in our workplace and at home to minimise the risk of falling victim to cyber threats.
• When in public places, avoid using free WiFi as it isn’t secure
• Use a password manager to store all passwords
• Be wary of phishing scams, as more are happening via unsolicited emails and messages via mobile or links asking for personal information
• Check email address by hovering over and also check whether the content is suspicious
• Enable multi-factor authentication to securely login into your apps.
Thanks Melonie for the great talk and our partners at Mapua District Business Association - MDBA for co-organising this Lunch & Learn!
3. NBS Lunch & Learn | 16 July 2024
Cashflow Freedom - with Lu Khani, Business Navigators NZ
Cashflow is the process of collecting, disbursing and accumulating cash. The #1 reason for business failure is poor cashflow. For each business, it is therefore essential to understand how the cash flows!
It was a pleasure to have Lu Khani from Business Navigators at our NBS Lunch & Learn.
Lu presented some great insights on what is cashflow, how it can be managed, and why monitoring numbers matter for a business!
The participants also got tips how to increase sales outcomes, and lower the costs of sales in order to achieve cashflow freedom.
Thank you for your active and engaging participation, and to our lovely sponsors & partners NBS and Pūtangitangi Greenmeadows Centre for making this event possible.
