1. Mapua Lunch & Learn | 4 September
Think Goals, Think Numbers, Think Beyond the Numbers - with Lu Khani, Business Navigators NZ
Co-organised with our partners at Mapua District Business Association, our Lunch & Learn participants acquired some insightful information on the goals, numbers, strategy, and discipline within a business, and how these areas can be improved to take everything to the next level. Lu shared tips with the attendees in order to gain a better understanding of where one's own businesses could improve. Thank you Business Navigators NZ!
2. Community Connect - Breaking down Barriers | 5 September
Understanding accounting & financing & systems with Bevan Woodward
A big thank you to Bevan Woodward for sharing valuable tips on accounting & finances with our not-for-profit participants. 3. Apex Accounting "Just Talking" Businesswomen's Series | 18 September
From corporate career to establishing a thriving small business - with Fleur Woods, Artist & Creative Entrepreneur
There is something truly inspiring when we get to hear unfiltered business journeys from entrepreneurs who walk the talk, as they share what works for them and what have they learned throughout the years of running and growing their business.
We had a fabulous guest, creative entrepreneur and locally operating, internationally working artist Fleur Woods Art at our Apex Accounting “Just Talking” Businesswomen’s Series.
Many of us wished we could stay for longer to hear Fleur speak and get inspired by her unique business experience.
While she is based in our beautiful region, she is working with an international clientele, managing an online community, expanding her business & taking her often sold out creative workshops beyond our borders.
Stepping into confidence, creativity, with a relentless pursuit of joy, beauty and a sustainable living, and in turn Fleur found her global tribe and unique purpose to bring more creativity and wellbeing into the world.
It was a joy to listen to Fleur's inspiring business journey.
Thank you to each and everyone of you for joining us and contributing with your presence and fantastic engagement.
Big shout out to our partners & sponsors, BNZ Nelson Partners Centre and Apex Accounting for making this event come to life!
4. ICIB BizBreak Networking | 25 September
Here are just some of the reasons why people joined us and came back for our monthly business networking event:
“I’m here to build relationships.”
“I’m inspired how everyone grows their business. I want to expand my horizons.”
“Make new contacts.”
“It’s such a great business networking.”
“I’m brand new to the region.”
This time, we had a lively discussion about target markets and how to get new clients.
It was fantastic to hear everyone’s take and experience shared in the room, and also see some penny drop moments - “oh, I haven’t thought of that before!”
We are so happy to see old & new faces and see how this group is growing, how our participant’s confidence level and pitches are improving every time! Well done everybody, keep up the great work!
Big shout out to ICIB Brokerweb Insurance & Risk Advisory & SOS Cafe Nelson for making this event series possible free of charge for our local business community!
