Jacquie Boer has worked in public relations, journalism, and marketing for the past 30+ years, running her own consultancy in Nelson since 2012. Jacquie is known as a straight talker and for having a calm, strategic head in a crisis. She's also known for her commitment to ethics and transparency. 

She has worked with more than 150 clients around New Zealand, Australia, the USA, and the UK over the past 13 years including OSACO Group (for whom she was Global Media and Communications Manager), Australasian forestry company OneFortyOne, and O-I Glass. She has also worked with iconic local businesses such as Pic's Peanut Butter, Taylors Contracting, Cawthron Institute, and Kernohan Engineering. 

She has a particular interest in forestry, infrastructure and entrepreneurial go-getters. 

Jacquie is developing her governance portfolio and is currently on the national board for the Public Relations Institute of NZ and on the board of Innovative Waste Kaikōura, a CCO of Kaikōura District Council. 

Alongside her business activities, she is a recording artist and singer-songwriter, a passionate runner, and an enthusiastic mother of two teenagers. She married for the second time last year after 10 years of single parenting and still has trouble remembering her new surname when introducing herself.
