Fleur Woods is a Contemporary Artist, Author, Teacher and Creative Industry Entrepreneur based in Upper Moutere.
For the past decade Fleur has been practicing as a largely self represented, full time artist creating keenly collected hand embroidered original artworks. When she's not in the studio you'll find her traveling around Aotearoa & Australia teaching workshops in person and online, collaborating with brands, caring for an online community, offering bespoke creative products and recently publishing her first book, The Untamed Thread. Fleur's work is regularly celebrated in print & digital magazines around the world as well as via podcasts, YouTube & recently as part of a NZ original TV Series.
Prior to transitioning into creative practice Fleur worked in the corporate world and has drawn on all aspects of her life and experiences to build her thriving small business.
Inspired by nature, her love of collecting and a deep sense of connection to her creative DNA.
From her sun seat in rural Upper Moutere she has plot twisted her way in relentless pursuit of joy, beauty and a sustainable living and in turn found her global tribe and unique purpose to bring more creativity and wellbeing into the world.
